There are festivals throughout
the year, and crowds of Bhutanese and foreign tourists descend
on monasteries and dzongs to witness the ceremonies and lama
dances that continue for several days. The tsechu festivals
are colourful pageants and important social occassions, with
all comers dressed in their finest traditional dress. It is
indeed, the showcase of vibrant Bhutanese culture. Here are
